Press Report: President Obasanjo Visits the U.S.

The final schedule is in planning and full announcement will be made once it is available. OUTCRY Magazine interviewed both Mr. Patrick Ayendi the press secretary of the Nigerian Embassy in Washington and his deputy Mr. Abubakar Abdulahi. In our interview with Mr. Abdulahi, he emphasized the importance of Nigerians overseas joining together to industrialize Nigeria since they are in better position to help and contribute to the on going development and industrialization in Nigeria. He strongly suggested that Nigerians abroad should start business at home to help speed up the modernization process in progress. In this way, other people from outside Nigeria who are foreign investors will be motivated to invest in Nigeria. Nigerians abroad must lead the way he stressed. Mr. Abdulahi indicated that there are many tax incentives put in place by President Obasanjo to encourage investors and businesses in Nigeria.

In general, Nigerians at home are calling upon Nigerians overseas to come home and contribute to the modernization of the giant of Africa. After Nigeria elected a democratic president and put a democratic system in place, Nigeria stops being a sleeping giant, it has now reclaimed it's status again as the Giant of Africa!

We look forward to welcoming Olusegun Obasanjo, the President of Nigeria and the Commander in Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces. Long lived Nigeria's democracy and the rise of a great nation!
